Youth Leadership Conference
The conference was held on August 12th, 2020 at 3 PM CST.
Participants chose from 3 subject areas to participate in:
Student Leadership, Social Justice, and STEM. The information provided at the conference was open to all students, but may not be applicable to students below 6th grade.

Conference Speakers
Rehan Rupawalla
Student Leadership
Rehan is an incoming freshman at the University of Texas at Austin. For the past 4 years, he's been actively involved in his community by spearheading social projects, leading his school's debate team, teaching hundreds of students, and more.
Lisa Lachowicz
Student Leadership
Lisa Wang Lachowicz, a graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School, is an associate attorney in the litigation department at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP in New York, where her practice focuses on international arbitration and litigation.
Stephanie Thomas
Social Justice
Stephanie Thomas Ph. D. is a researcher working on air quality, the climate crisis, and chemical safety. Her previous experience with cancer patients fueled her advocacy and passion to clear cancer-causing pollutants in Houston.
Raj Salhotra
Social Justice
Raj, a graduate of Rice University and Harvard Law School, is a native Houstonian, attorney, former educator, and current non-profit leader with Momentum Education focused on increasing the number of students getting to and through post-secondary education.
Asia Bryant
STEM
Asia Bryant is originally from Houston, Texas. and recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Southern University. She received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Chinese Studies.
Edidiong Obot
STEM
Edidiong is a proud first generation Nigerian–American . She obtained a BS in Chemistry and a Master’s of Science in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Southern University. She has worked in the environmental industry research and development, private industry.
